Steam Randomizer is here to serve all your randomized Steam needs, including finding random games and random achievements, all from your Steam Library.

You can create a list of games, and it will pick a random achievement or game from the list!

What and why?

Steam Randomizer is a passion project of mine. The idea came from when I was Twitch streaming, and wanted to do a challenge where I would get a random achievement from Steam, and then stream non-stop until I beat the achievement. I called this the "Steam Purgatory Challenge".

The main issue I ran into when trying this challenge was that there weren't many great websites to act as my "random achievement picker". Specifically I wanted to be able to choose from a specific list of games intead of my entire library.

Now while my streaming dreams are over for now, Steam Randomizer lives on.

If anyone is willing to attempt the "Steam Purgatory Challenge" here are the rules:

Steam Purgatory Challenge Rules

Using this website, make a list of games that you're willing to get a random achievement from.

If you're hardcore, add your entire Steam Library.

Get a random achievement.

You get two re-rolls. If you think the achievement is too hard, you can roll for another one. If you use your two re-rolls, you have to stick with your third choice.
If the achievement is locked behind DLC, you can re-roll for free.
If the achievement is locked behind multiplayer/online-play, you can re-roll for free.

Try and get the achievement as quickly as you can!

If you are a streamer, add the tag "SteamPurgatoryChallenge" to you stream to be featured below!
Add a timer to your screen, so your viewers no how long you've been in purgatory.

When you finally get the achievement, bathe in euphoria knowing that the challenge is over.

How does it work?

Step 1

To begin, enter a Steam Profile Name or ID in the field at the top of page!
This is how we get to see your Steam Library.

If you don't know the best way to get your Steam ID or official profile name, try Steam ID Finder.

You can use the id that appears after "https://steamcommunity.com/id/" or the number the appears after "https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/".

Steam Randomizer doesn't access any personal information via Steam, and will only work if your profile is publicly visible.

Step 2

We will load in the games you own in your Steam Library, and you can create a curated list of games that you want to choose from!

Press the big green button!
